Cetrea develops products that helps hospitals to improve coordination, communication, and and clinical overview in acute and safety critical activities in a hospital. Cetrea sells the following standard products to an international marked:

  • Cetrea Surgical™, which helps hospitals to optimize coordination, communication, and the work environment in and around an operating suite.
  • Cetrea Emergency™, which helps hospitals to optimize coordination, communication, and the work environment on accident & emergency (A&E) departments.
  • Cetrea Safety™, which helps focus on patient safety and to reduce adverse events related to patient identification and surgical treatment.

  • ... being developed in close cooperation with the clinical staff in hospitals. Cetrea puts great emphasis on creating tools for clinicians which are extremely easy and fast in use. This is due to the time- and safety-critical nature of work in a hospital. We take seriously that clinical systems needs to be extremely roboust, safe, fast, and easy to use and a great deal of our research and development (R&D) is targeted to improve our technology accordingly.
  • ... being based on the latest research within Pervasive Healthcare technology. Cetrea's products are a new generation of system solutions, which are fundametally different from existing information technology solutions used in hospitals. From a technology point of view, we are using large interactive displays, mobile technology (mobile phones and PDAs), video media spaces, and indoor location tracking of staff and patients. From a usability point of view, our vision is to get away from the desktop PC with its mouse and keyboard and support direct interaction using touch, automatic login, and context-aware adaptation of the technology to each specific situation. This is a vision which we are very close to realize.

In Cetrea's solutions the clinicians has the complete overview and has easy access to relevant data in other clinical systems. This is realized by a smooth integration with other clinical systems using our unique integration technology. Currently, the Cetrea systems are integrated with booking and scheduling systems; DECT telephony systems from Ascom, and radiology informations systems (RIS) from Kodak. Cetrea uses and supports international standards like HL7 and openEHR.
