Cetrea Emergency™
Cetrea Emergency is a new innovative system designed to handle the logistic flow in the emergency department. The system is designed to create a fast overview, support coordination and triage, ensure efficient communication and heighten the safety of the patient. Cetrea Emergency supplements the electronic patient record and other clinical systems in the emergency department with a real time overview of all relevant information in relation to the logistic flow and the prioritization of patients.

Cetrea Emergency differs from other systems by being especially designed to support logistic and flow. Hence, the system is build to ensure super fast interaction and handle many and fast paced patient flows. A rule of thumb is that interaction with the system should take no longer than a couple of seconds. Research shows that if the interaction with logistic systems is too slow the information is registered after the event has taken place or become out-dated.

Cetrea Emergency creates an overview that spans the physical and organizational boundaries. It is a cornerstone in the creation of a centralized department for all acute patients in a hospital. The system can be configured to show relevant information and ensures communication between call centers, ambulances, emergency departments, acute departments, OR suites, patient wards and all actors involved in managing and treating acute patients. The system ensures an efficient and safe flow between departments and creates a single route for the patient through the hospital.

Cetrea Emergency uses the underlying Cetrea technology including large interactive displays, mobile handsets, tracking of key personnel and patients, video streaming, and integration with external systems. Cetrea Emergency is designed in close cooperation with clinicians and is continuously being improved by the users of the system.
